This morning, for the first time this year, I felt that unmistakable scent of fall in the air. Ahhhh… It is one of those crisp, clear days that makes you want to go for a bike ride. No more 100-degree weather – or so we hope. Time to plant pansies, mums, and decorate in yellow, red, and brown.
Here are some lyrics for the occasion, written by Michael of Jazzcow:
Ground
You hold yourself against the wind.
People pass and you pretend,
To be deep in thought, but you're thinking about them.
Was it righteousness or sin.
You hold yourself against the wind.
You feel it coming back again.
You turn up a smile and you pretend,
To have no need, to need no friend.
Autumn leaves falling to the ground.
Coloring your pain,
In yellow, red, and brown.
So you turn the other cheek.
And you find yourself slow to speak.
You try to be strong, but you are weak.
You never seem to find the things you seek.
Autumn leaves falling to the ground.
Coloring your pain,
In yellow, red, and brown.
Autumn leaves falling to the ground.
Coloring your pain,
In yellow, red, and brown.

Thanks, Lexi! I appreciate it - and you too! :)
Jeg liker høsten. Bra tekst. Mange går rundt og later som at alt er bra, later som de er sterke og klarer seg selv. Men egentlig er vi alle avhengige av hverandre.
Hei Grete - hyggelig at du stakk innom igjen!
Nå begynner fanskaren din å få abstinenser her, kjære Hanulf;)
Skriv, skriv, SKRIV!!!
(Ikke ment som mas altså...kun kompliment!!)
Hei - takk for oppmuntringen, Karina! Akkurat den lille dytten bak jeg trengte akkurat nå for å komme igang med bloggingen igjen. Alltid hyggelig når du stikker innom! ;)
These are very well crafted lyrics... I love the flow, the even meter. "To have no need, to need no friend" ...
I always enjoy reading lyrics, and love the colorful photo. :)
Michele says hello!
